In the states of Plateau and Niger, at least 11 people have perished in traffic accidents, On Saturday, eight people died and two were injured in Jos, the capital of Plateau State.
A Toyota Hiace bus and a Honda Pilot car were both involved in the collision, according to Peter Longsan, Route Commander and Public Enlightenment Officer for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Plateau State Command. The accident occurred at around three in the afternoon.
The bodies of the deceased were deposited at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), where two injured people were also transported.
In the Niger crash that occurred at Gunu village in Munya Local Government Area on Friday, three people perished and four others were injured.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna was informed by Sector Commander of the FRSC in Niger, Mr. Kumar Tsukwam, that the collision involved a saloon car and a commercial bus.
Three of the seven people involved in the collision perished, while four others suffered injuries, he said.
