In order to prepare for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, the Jigawa office of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has inspected 14 Computer Based Training (CBT) Centers (UTME).
Mukarram Bello, the board’s state Public Relations Officer (PRO), informed the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse on Saturday.
Bello claimed that a team of inspectors led by Prof. Muhammad Sabo, the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Dutse, visited the centers to conduct inspections (FUD).
He clarified that the action was taken to ensure that the centers were qualified to take part in the registration and exam for the UTME in 2023.
The Federal University Dutse ICT CBT Center, Federal University Dutse E-Learning Center, Federal University Dutse E-Learning Centre 2, BHT Inter Systems CBT Center, Al-Hikmah CBT Center, and Sule Lamido University CBT Center were among the institutions that the PRO named as having been inspected.
Other CBT centers include those at the Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic in Jigawa State, the Futuremap Foundation CBT Center, the Binyamin Usman Polytechnic, the Jigawa State College of Education, the Jigawa State College of Remedial and Advanced Studies, and the Institute of Information Technology, Kazaure.
He claims that the exercise also aims to accredit centers sooner in order to guarantee a smooth 2023 UTME exam. (NAN)
