2023: Tinubu receives endorsement from the Yoruba World Congress in the UK

With a pledge to strive towards Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s inauguration as president in 2023, the Yoruba World Congress (YWC) has endorsed the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate.

The announcement was made, according to a statement made by YWC head Mr. Adigun Raheem on Sunday in Abuja, at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel in Stratford, London, with notable figures in attendance.

The Yoruba World Congress (YWC) serves as the global governing body for all sociocultural organizations and self-determination movements of Yoruba ancestry.

The moment, according to Raheem, had come for everyone—especially sons and daughters of Yoruba ancestry—to put the past in the rearview mirror and focus on helping their son, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, win the upcoming presidential election.
In the belief that he would restore Nigeria’s glory and bring the cohesion and peace necessary for the advancement and development of the nation, he claimed that the YWC had decided to support the APC candidate.

He asserts that Tinubu stands out in that Tinubu is a powerful, brave, and pan-Nigerian leader who has a thorough understanding of the economics, politics, and the nation as a whole.

He promised that the YWC will use all of its resources to help Tinubu win the 2023 presidential election.

Raheem declared, “Tinubu is the perfect man to take us there. This is the best time for Nigeria to claim her place in the comity of countries.”

In order to achieve electoral success, he continued, the YWC would deploy representatives to Nigeria to collaborate with the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) before the election.

APC leader Mr. Oldeebo Olaide, the national chairman of the Tinubu-Shettima Support Group (TSSG) in the Diaspora, and his deputy Amb. Azeez Salam were among the guests at the declaration, according to the statement.

Others were Hadjia Rakeyaat Alfa, a TSSG spokesman for the Diaspora, Otunba Jafaru Braimoh, a TSSG representative for France, Kemi Hadjia Hauwa and Kemi Omole, the TSSG United Kingdom Representative.

Chief James Faleke, the Grand Patron of the TSSG, and Mr. Ade Omole, the Director of the APC PCC’s Diaspora Directorate, were also there.

The statement further noted that Oladapo Habeeb, who spoke on behalf of the APC UK Campaign Council, greeted the Young Women’s Caucus at the event, which was celebrated.
