2BABA IS SAID TO HAVE DIED IN A POLICE OPERATION.

It has been claimed that Gift Okpara, also known as 2Baba, a prominent criminal leader in Rivers State, has been arrested as the main suspect in the brutal murder of SP Bako Angbashim, a former DPO.

In September 2023, 2Baba’s gang ambushed and captured Angbashim in the Odiemudie community of Ahoada East LGA in Rivers.

On Saturday afternoon, it was reported that the police and other security agencies jointly planned a simultaneous ground and air operation against the known hiding place of the Icelandic cult leader and his group in Idu-Ekpeye, within the state’s Ahoada East LGA. Following the operation, 2Baba and some of his supporters reportedly feared for their lives.

According to a top law enforcement source who talked to TheNation, 2Baba was repeatedly h#t throughout the operation. He declared: “2Baba and some of his supporters were struck with blowouts multiple times.” 2Baba collapsed to the ground, but he was soon picked up by some of his boys. The police are still encroaching to get his body.
