The Nigerian Police Niger State Command has deployed 369 Constables to various formations around the state.

According to the Command’s spokesman, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, the Constables were state residents who had lately been recruited by the Nigeria Police Force.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ogundele Ayodeji, urged the new constables to be professional in their duties, to effectively apply their wealth of knowledge gained during the training exercise, and to avoid any act of corruption, incivility, indiscipline, drunkenness, lateness, absenteeism, and other vices.

The Police Commissioner reaffirmed IGP Usman Alkali Baba’s direction that all Constables be assigned to their respective Local Government Areas in accordance with the government’s Community Policing Policy.

“I’ve asked all Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) across the State to deliver the Constables to their respective Divisions for quick deployment,” CP Ayodeji stated.

He did, however, express gratitude to the federal government for recruiting extra personnel for the Nigeria Police Force, especially with the 2023 general elections approaching.
