Six of the many students who were abducted from the Federal University Gusau in Zamfara State in the early hours of Friday have been found by Operation Hadarin Daji troops.

 

In the early hours of Friday, armed gunmen stormed Sabon Gida village in Zamfara State and abducted many Federal University of Gusau students from their dorms.

According to the security and information platform Eons information, the attackers entered three dormitory buildings through the windows and abducted an indeterminate number of victims, including female students.

The group posted on its verified X platform (previously Twitter) that “a bunch of armed bandits brandishing lethal weapons invaded Sabon Gida hamlet in Zamfara state at about 0300hrs of today. Unknown numbers of Federal University of Gusau students, including female students, were kidnapped during the incident.

 

“The attackers entered three different hostels and abducted every student there.”

Sabon Gida settlement is near to the State’s main campus for the Federal University.

 

As at the time of this article, specifics on the six pupils’ rescue remained unclear.
