Prof. Isa Chiroma, SAN, Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, announced that 1,085 applicants from the school’s final exams held in July were successful.
Chiroma stated this in Abuja on Wednesday during the presentation of the candidates’ overall performance at the October 2023 Call to Bar event.
He urged the candidates to make the best of the legal profession by adhering strictly to its principles and ethics.
The Director-General Reported That 1, 666 Students Totally Participated in the July Exam, and 1, 085 Came Out Successful.
Chiroma stated, “I attest that they are fit and proper persons for Call and admission to the Nigerian Bar.”
Retired Justice In her remarks, Mary Peter-Odili, chairman of the Body of Benchers, asked the graduates to serve their country with humanity and justice, without fear or favour, affection or ill intent.
To be successful lawyers, Peter-Odili urged the graduates to always enrich themselves with legislation and case laws, as well as update themselves with knowledge of legal opinions.
She went on to say that graduates must respect their seniors, follow the industry’s dress code, and only use social media in a good way that does not bring the profession into contempt.
