The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has denied any involvement in the bombing of Tudun Biri village in Kaduna State’s Igabi Local Government Area, which resulted in the deaths of several civilians.
In a previous report, Kaduna-based sources said that at around 9 p.m. on Sunday, during the Maulud celebration, a NAF-operated plane dropped a bomb, resulting in several injuries.
In response to this assertion, the Air Force stated through Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, its spokesperson, that no air operations had been conducted in Kaduna by the NAF in the previous twenty-four hours.
Commodore Gabkwet went on to say that other services in the area are also using armed combat drones.
A complete statement from the Nigerian Air Force is provided below.
For the past twenty-four hours, the NAF has not conducted any air operations in Kadunah State.
The rumor circulating that innocent citizens in Kaduna were accidently killed by Nigerian Air Force (NAF) planes is untrue. Please be advised that throughout the past 24 hours, there have been no air operations conducted by the NAF in Kaduna State or its surroundings. Furthermore take note of the fact that other organizations utilize combat-armed drones in Nigeria’s northwest in addition to the NAF.
Additionally, it’s critical to make sure that the media always does its research before publishing rumors that haven’t been verified or validated.
Thank you.
