In accordance with the Independent National Electoral Commission, 87,209,007 permanent voter cards have been gathered nationwide.
Mahmood Yakubu, the chairman of INEC, made the announcement on Thursday at a briefing held at the national collation center in Abuja.
The commission had originally scheduled the exercise for all 774 LGAs from December 12 to January 22.
The deadline was then extended by the commission until January 29 and then once more until February 5.
