Francis Duru: Family Announces Burial Date for Late Nollywood Actor

The family of late Nigerian actor Francis Duru has announced that he will be buried on December 11, 2026, at his family compound in Imo State.

The family announced the Francis Duru burial arrangements in a statement shared on the actor’s Instagram page on Monday.

The statement was jointly signed by his sister, Anthonia Chenyi, and his first son, Ebuka Duru.

According to the family, a service of songs will hold on Wednesday, November 25, at Family Worship Centre, Idris Gidado Street, Wuye, Abuja. The event will begin at 5pm.

Meanwhile, the family will hold another service of songs on Thursday, December 10, at the late Pa Theophilus Ogide Duru’s family compound in Okai, Eziama, Isiala Mbano, Imo State.

The funeral and interment will follow on Friday, December 11, at the same location.

The family invited members of the public, friends, colleagues and well-wishers to attend the ceremonies and pay their final respects to the actor. Francis Duru, aged 59, reportedly died on October 22, 2026, after battling an undisclosed illness.
