Leaders and youths of Kwararafa, Fulani, Tiv and other tribal groups in Southern Taraba Zone have endorsed the All Progressive Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate, General IG Bauka for Saturday 23rd February elections.
They said voting the APC candidate on Saturday would promote unity and equal development among every tribe and ethnic group in the zone.
Speaking to Newsmen in Wukari yesterday after a joint emergency meeting of kwararafa United Development forum (KUDF), Southern Taraba Youth Advancement Group, Southern Taraba Elders Council and other support groups said both Ikenya and Bwacha of the PDP and APGA have been in Senate without much impact on the people.
KUDF Spokesman Danladi Nuvalga, who spoke for the leaders expressed gratitude to Ishaya Gangum Bauka for his selfless service to Nigeria and humanity and for the far-reaching impact of his benevolence to the sons and daughters of Southern Taraba.
He said leaders of all tribes in Southern Zone have come togather to unequivocally pledge their solidarity and massive support to ensure General Bauka is elected as Senator on Saturday.
According to him, “There is no such time in our history that Southern Taraba is blessed with a visionary and capable candidate like now. IGB is man of the people. He has vast experience in nitty-aspirations of the people and good governance.He understands the yearnings and aspirations of the masses, he is endowed with leadership qualities that are outstanding and he is the best man for the job, we are calling on our people to vote APC tomorrow.”
“Kwararafa United Development Forum and all other fora in Southern Taraba, after due consideration of the antecedents of the previous senators,the records and performance of IGB and his manifestos, have unequivocally endorsed IGB for Southern Taraba Senate.
“We are urging all well meaning sons and daughters of Kwararafa kingdom, the Tivs nation, Fulanis to make a wise choice come Saturday to vote for the future of our children and the youths; to vote for well being of the elderly; to vote for all inclusive governance; to vote for selfless representation for sustainable development and creation of job opportunities for our teeming population. We have pulled all our supports together to ensure uncontested victory for IGB on Saturday because we are sure there is no candidate like him”.
