LOOK WHAT GREED AS CAUSED YOU”, NIGERIANS MOCK OKOROCHA OVER ABRUPT RETIREMENT FROM POLITICS

As soon as reports emerged that Rochas Okorocha, Governor of Imo state has had his name removed from the list of senators-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC, Nigerians took to social media to celebrate.

INEC in a meeting in Abuha, had revealed its stand not to issues certificate of return to candidates who held their officials hostage, prevailing on them to declare results in their favour.

Therefore, Okorocha who had been accused of holding the returning officer in his state hostage, propelling him to declare result under duress, will not be handed certificate of return for Imo West senatorial district.

Nigerians are also blaming the Governor for APC’s defeat at the governorship elections because he chose to support his son in-law, Uche Nwosu against his party’s candidate, leaving PDP’ s Emeka Ihedioha to win.

They mocked the governor for ending his political career  over his own greed instead of retiring honourably after his 8years as governor.
