Chelsea is set to offer the club’s legend, Franck Lampard, a three-year contract to become the Blue’s new manager ahead of next season.
This claim was made by respected transfer expert and sport journalist, Nicolo Schira, who works for Gazzetta dello Sport.
Schira disclosed this on Monday through his official Twitter page.
He wrote: “#Chelsea is closing for Frank #Lampard as a new manager. Blues have offered a contract until 2022. #transfers #CFC.”
This is coming after Chelsea on Sunday announced that Sarri, who joined the club last summer, has left for Juventus.
Sarri completed his move from Chelsea to Juventus on Sunday, with the two clubs confirming that a deal had been agreed yesterday.
Premier news had reported on Sunday that Lampard emerged as the frontrunner to take over from Sarri after a positive first year in management at Derby County.
