President Muhammadu Buhari will be going on a private visit to London after attending the third edition of the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, confirmed this development in a statement on Monday.
Adesina, who disclosed that Buhari will be in London for a private visit and will return to Nigeria on November 17 after he must have spent 2 weeks in the UK, did not give further details on the President’s trip to London, but it may not be unconnected with his routine medical checkup.
The special adviser further disclosed that, on the sideline of the economic forum, President Buhari, who will be departing Abuja today, would hold bilateral talks with His Majesty, King Salman and His Majesty, King Abdullah ll of Jordan.
“On Wednesday, Oct. 30, the President will participate in the High-Level Event titled “What is Next for Africa: How will Investment and Trade Transform the Continent into the Next Great Economic Success Story?” with Presidents of Kenya, Congo-Brazzaville and Burkina Faso.
It would be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday returned to Abuja after actively participating in the three-day Russia – Africa Summit held in Sochi, Russia, with about 40 Heads of State and Governments in attendance.
While in Sochi, PresidentBuhari, on October 23 meet with Russian Leader, Vladimir Putin, where the two agreed to put Nigeria-Russia relations on the front burner, and pursue the completion of all abandoned projects initiated by both countries.
