Boko Haram Killed Soldiers, Wounded Others In Borno

The Nigerian Army has confirmed the death of about 70 of its personnel’s killed in a terrorists ambush in Buk area of the Sambisa forest in Borno State.

The Coordinator Defence Media Operations, Major John Enenche, said the soldiers were not killed in direct combat with the terrorists.

According to him, the terrorists ambushed the Military vehicle conveying logistics which included bombs and other weapons and shot at it, resulting in an explosion that killed the soldiers and the insurgents that mounted the ambush.

Enenche said 15 of the military personnel were wounded and are currently undergoing treatment in a military facility.
