Authorises of the Nigeria Police Force NPF, on Thursday paraded 50  suspect over crimes and other outlawed activities in the country, including murder, kidnappings, car theft, cattle rustling, gun running and possession of illicit drugs.

The Police team has arrested a 3 man out of 25 man gang of kidnappers as suspects who organised and carried out with the other gang member, the kidnap of 125 students of Bethel Baptist School Kaduna who wore Army camouflage uniforms to beat security agents.

Parading the suspects before newsmen at the Special Tactical Squad STS office at Abuja, the Force Public Relation Officer FPRO CP, Frank Mba said that Police had established a prima facie evidence against the suspect.

He said that Police men of the Inspector-General of Police IGP Usman Alkali Baba’s Special Tactical Squad STS arrested all the suspects comprising of forty eight (48) males and two (2) females due to operational breakthrough.

He identified the first set of suspect as Monday Akawo 39 from Nassarawa who is the principal participant from the case of Church theft. He was dressed in Army Captain union and sits in the operational gang of his men to rob many chruches in Nassarawa and FCT.

The Force spokesperson also paraded one Joseph Orazulike age 35 from Anambra state, resident in Mararaba Nassarawa state who is a buyer of some pianos and other musical equipment stolen from theses churches.

The suspect upon being interrogated by the Police team head confessed to have bought about three pianos  from Akawo at N60,000, N70,000 and N90,000 each lately.

Also paraded by the Police team are two kidnappers Mubarak Mohammed age 22 and Mohammed Bode age 21 (AKA Batilube) who had kidnapped some females student of Kwara state university and later released one of them after Police intervention.

Mubarak upon being interrogated by the Police team had confessed to have carried out 50 robbery incidents within Kwara, Oyo and some neighboring states.

Moreover, the Police team had paraded a gang of 4 crime suspects, Sulieman Bekko age 22, Auwal Bello age 21, Ibrahim SakS  age 27 and Aliyu Muhammad age 32,  who were allegedly trading in outlawed drugs notably tramadol and cocaine.

Meanwhile, first two suspects were later identified as Nigerians and the other two are said to be Niger citizens who are selling these substance to kidnappers and also using them.

Exhibits said to  have been recovered from them include a total of 14 AK 47 rifles, 4 revolver assualt rifles, 4 danes guns, 2,107 live ammunitions and 12 pianos among other items.

All the suspects, the Police image maker said had confessed to the crimes and would be arraigned in the nation’s law courts to face the wrath of the law.
