Naira Marley, a.k.a. Azeez Adeshina Fashola, a prominent Nigerian musician, has responded to Mohbad’s accusation of assault against his label.
On Wednesday, Mohbad alleged in a live broadcast that his management team had assaulted him at the Marlian residence after he had asked a manager change.
Naira Marley, the head of the record company Marlian Records, responded to the claim by saying it is a “family affair” and will be settled peacefully inside the company.
He denied Mohbad’s accusations against him and suggested that the singer may have been inebriated when the video was being made.

“Mohbad is obviously not in his right mind. He is obviously not in a good frame of mind. Naira Marley asked on Instagram Live, “Why will I touch Mohbad or allow anyone to touch Mohbad?
“Mohbad has a history of drinking, which has an impact on his emotions and behavior. #ImNotPerfect. But any disagreements would be amicably settled within the record label.
I want my brother Mohbad to appear live so that you people may see that I have no cause to lie about him.
After seeing Naira Marley’s video, Mohbad replied, saying, “Everything he claimed on the live stream is a blatant lie.
“This isn’t the first time,” he continued. In the most recent video, it was implied that I was high or acting irrationally. The threat to my life is quite real.
