About seven farmers were killed in the Gidan Sule community of Keana Council, Nasarawa State, by suspected herdsmen.
Two of the seven Tiv people were reportedly killed early yesterday morning, while two of the other five were supposedly killed on Saturday.
Over a thousand people have been uprooted and are seeking refuge in Kadarko, Giza, and other areas of Keana LGA.
Our correspondent discovered that the attack was retaliation for the Tiv farmers of Gidan Sule killing a Fulani man and his wife.
Tiv leaders have spoken with representatives from Keana council on the attacks and have also urged Governor Abdullahi Sule to send out security troops.
