The well-known actress Chacha Eke has said she never expected coping with mental health challenges at some point in her life.
On Monday, the mother of four observed World Mental Health Day, a day set aside internationally to promote mental health education, awareness, and fight against social stigma.
The World Federation for Mental Health, a global mental health organization with members and contacts in more than 150 countries, spearheaded the inaugural celebration on October 10, 1992.
On this day in October each year, thousands of supporters gather to commemorate this yearly awareness campaign to raise awareness of mental illness and its significant effects on people’s lives all over the world.
The actress disclosed that she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder in October 2020 while dispelling rumors that her marriage had ended due to domestic abuse. She blamed her mental state for the outburst on social media.
Although Chacha eventually proclaimed on June 28, 2022, that her marriage to Austin Faani was officially over, citing the urge to live rather than leave the union as a corpse.
To commemorate World Mental Health Day, the actress said she never imagined having to deal with mental health difficulties because she is so attractive, extraordinarily talented, and intellectually clever.
“October 10, 2022, World Mental Health Day,” Eke wrote alongside a video of people dealing with mental health issues and Michael Jackson’s “Heal the World” playing in the background.
“I never in my life imagined that I would deal with mental health in any way, whether it be in private or in public. Are you serious?
“I am simply too attractive, bright, and intelligent to have just a little bit of’skoi skoi,’ as they say in my community. But since it is what it is, here I am coping with it.
