On Monday, 137 more stranded Nigerians came from Libya.

Through the Cargo Wing of Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Lagos, they landed at around 5.15 p.m.
The staff of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, welcomed the stranded Nigerians.

This occurred on October 12, 2022, less than two weeks after a group of 126 stranded Nigerians returned to their country from Libya.

When they arrived, they were welcomed by Alhaji Mustapha Ahmed, Director General of NEMA, who was represented by Ibrahim Farinloye, Coordinator, Lagos Territorial Office.

He claims that the breakdown of passengers on board the Al Buraq Air Boeing 737-800, with the registration number 5A-DMG, shows that 51 adult females and one infant girl were repatriated.

Other returnees included 76 adult males, four male minors, and two male babies, bringing the total to 137.

As a result, there are now 263 Libyans who have returned to Nigeria in less than two weeks.
