The All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council’s United Kingdom chapter has announced that it will educate Nigerians living in the UK on the importance of supporting Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the 2023 presidential elections.
Rallies in UK cities, particularly those with sizable Nigerian populations, were to be used, according to the statement.
As of 2019, the UK Office for National Statistics reported 215,000 inhabitants who were of Nigerian descent.
In order to establish a long-lasting connection with the commission, the council spoke over the weekend when visiting Amb. Sarafa Isola, the Nigerian High Commissioner in the UK.
APC UK Chairman Tunde Doherty and APC UK Campaign Council Director-General Muyiwa Adesua were among the members of the delegation.
According to Doherty, the purpose of the visit was to inform the ambassador on the council’s plans and accomplishments in the run-up to the elections.
We held in-depth conversations with Ambassador Tunji Isola, who urged our members to work together and network in order to create a powerful group in the diaspora, according to Doherty.
Isola advised council members to view themselves as a team and praised the council’s initiative.
“Members ought to place more emphasis on the necessity of unity. That is how the ambition of winning the elections might be realized.
The APC UK Campaign Council’s official website was given to Isola by its publicity secretary, Tunde Ajisola, with the announcement that the website would be made public at a later time.
Isola received a trophy from youth leader Sekinat Adams, and Doherty offered the representative campaign mementos including caps and T-shirts.
