The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, would lose to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the North, according to Olusola Oke SAN, a member of the Legal Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
He claimed that Tinubu has a lot of reasons to prevail in the North.

“It follows logically that any leader in the APC today would favor the political party’s continuation.

They want to go forward; they are not content with this term. They want to be known as kingmakers even when they are unable to hold the role.

“Several of them were PDP members, and they saw the opposition party as the Egypt they were not eager to go back to.

You will understand that ethnic-seeking will take a backseat based on that reasoning. Any person who has grown up to be a governor in our nation will eventually turn nationalist.

Who among these candidates can deliver, uphold our party’s philosophy, and continue this government’s legacy is of utmost importance.

“Atiku will arrive and be seeking a mate. However, Tinubu already has a position. You can tell that he is not a man who is coming to ask questions after the first day if you look at his policy statement. He is not the “How do you do this one?” type. Leader of the “Come and explain to me” variety.

“Under Buhari’s guidance, he has been cultivated for eight years. He has experienced everything—the good, the horrible, and the ugly—Oke told The Punch.

Atiku revealed himself as a “bigot” during his speech to Arewa leaders in October, according to Oke.

In the 2023 presidential race, he claimed that this would be just another thing working against the former vice president.
When asked if Nigerians should disregard their ethnic and religious beliefs in order to vote, Oke responded, “I agree.

But between Tinubu and Atiku, who do you believe is using the ethnic card? Is it not clear?

“When Atiku went to speak with Arewa leaders in the North, he further demonstrated his bigotry. 9 He was too busy urging people not to support Yoruba or Igbo candidates to address any issues. That renders him completely useless as a nationalist.

The size and composition of your party will influence this election. We may anticipate such strength in the vote because the APC is stronger in the North.

It will be a shocker when the results are read if someone is deluding himself because you are from there. If you believe that ethnicity is an issue, why don’t you identify as a Northerner and join the Buhari party?

“Why did you visit the opposition party to voice your disapproval of Buhari? And now since you genuinely wanted him to lose the previous election, you want him to believe that you are a Northerner.

“We helped him win by rallying the South and the world over. You suddenly realize that you are from the North at this point. Buhari is from the North, right?

“The national question is now here. After much debate, we decided that fairness, justice, and equity must govern Nigeria. Additionally, the South and the North must alternate using this power. Someone is working against the idea that was adopted to stabilize Nigeria. You wish to benefit from your ethnic coloring.

Nigeria is everyone’s country. Buhari won’t think in that way. His attitude has changed. All of our APC leaders will not be narrow-minded. They’re going to take the action necessary to firmly establish Nigerian unity.

“The PDP is a party that symbolizes division, unlike the APC. Who could imagine that Atiku would speak to Arewa leaders and would utter such an abomination? Do we have a second Nigeria? Once more, I can reassure you that the APC will triumph and demonstrate its might in the North.
