At the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) agents detained two Pakistani businessmen.
They were detained on November 5 while attempting to board a Qatar Airways flight to Lahole, Pakistan through Doha with 8 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a public address system (sound speaker).
Asif Muhammed, 45, and Hussain Naveed, 57, two individuals with allegedly bogus Nigerian residency cards, frequently travel to that country to transact textile business.
In a statement released on Sunday, November 6, NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi stated the suspects were detained just over a week after arriving in Nigeria, on Sunday, October 30.
