No young guy would want for the fate that befell Japhet Aba, a freshly hired policeman in Nasarawa State. After leaving for training in Bauchi State and returning to learn that his recently wedded wife had been impregnated by his stepbrother, his heart was torn apart and his ego severely injured.
Japhet, a young native of Nasarawa State’s Doma Local Government Area and the sole child of his mother, had traveled to Bauchi for post-recruitment training roughly three months after getting hitched.
About three months after being married to College of Agriculture Lafia graduate Angela Onuh, the Nasarawa State Polytechnic alumnus joined the police.
Despite dating for approximately a year before to being married, the pair is claimed to have made a pact not to have any intimate relations until their September wedding. Sadly, the intimacy they shared after being married was unable to lead to conception before the husband left for training.
Prior to leaving for police training in Bauchi, Japhet made the decision to rent an apartment in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, in a building where his stepbrother, Samuel Aba, was already a resident. He reasoned that the primary school teacher would help to take care of his wife while he was away.
However, Japhet experienced the shock of his life when, nine months after leaving for Bauchi, he arrived home to discover his wife nine months pregnant. When Japhet questioned Angela, she revealed that Samuel had seduced her into an affair that ended with her being pregnant for him.
She added that she refrained from having the abortion because her parents, especially her late mother, had warned her that she would perish if she had one. Her mother passed away a few years prior.
Japhet, who discovered the startling discovery when he returned home in July, has since reported to his primary assignment, but recently, things became worse for him after it was claimed that a bullet damaged his manhood during a gunfight between the police and some daredevil criminals. While Angela recently gave birth to a child, he is currently receiving care in a Lafia hospital.
While Samuel was inspecting his farm in Doma village, he was allegedly ambushed and killed by some herders, which was a horrible fate for him. Although it was said that Samuel had seen the newborn before he passed away, Japhet, who has been admitted to the hospital since July, hasn’t had the chance to meet his wife or the child since then.
In an exclusive interview with our journalist, Japhet recalled the circumstances that led to the scandalous episode, saying: “I got married to my wife somewhere in September 2021. I had no problem with the agreement we had made during that time to wait to get married before we dated.
“When we finally got married, we started having children, but they hadn’t yet arrived when I was hired by the police.
“We had a lengthy conversation about the future before I departed for the training.
“Since I was my mother’s only child, she was eager for me to get married and have kids for her, but my wife and I decided to wait off since I was going to the camp.
It is very bad that we frequently spoke on the phone and that she had the chance to visit me at camp on a few occasions.
“To my surprise, I returned to find a pregnancy about which I knew nothing. When I pressed her further, she brought up my own brother, in whom I had great faith, and she convinced my wife to live in the same complex as him.
“I had no idea that the devil would impregnate her using my brother to ruin my marriage. Before he passed away, Samuel responded to my questions by saying that my wife had seduced him.
“Samuel told me that during their conversation, my wife had revealed in him that, despite her love for me, the few months I had with her before leaving for camp were characterized by my laziness in bed and my failure to satisfy her. She therefore need a powerful man to fulfill her in bed.
He said that the complaint was repeated and that he decided to help because he was concerned that my wife could leave the house in search of relief.
I didn’t want to confront Samuel about it when I got back since I felt that my wife was to responsible for allowing the incident to occur.
“Even though my mother pushed me to raise the problem, I fought and remained silent because our father passed away a few years ago. I took care of it as a result.
“When I went back to see her in that situation with her inadequate justification, I was equally unsure of what to do.
“I resisted my mother’s persuasion and soon relocated to my principal assignment so that my wife could make a choice that worked for her.
But deep down, I decided not to interact with her in any way. I don’t call her very often, and neither does she.
“Even though my mother pushed me to raise the problem, I fought and remained silent because our father passed away a few years ago. I took care of it as a result.
“When I went back to see her in that situation with her inadequate justification, I was equally unsure of what to do.
“I resisted my mother’s persuasion and soon relocated to my principal assignment so that my wife could make a choice that worked for her.
But deep down, I decided not to interact with her in any way. I don’t call her very often, and neither does she.
“I was also here on my sick bed, therefore I was unable to attend his funeral.”
As the late Samuel was not married, he claimed that the newborn may become his child if the mother so desires, but she is undoubtedly no longer his wife.
When our correspondent spoke with Angela, she was in tears, regretting that she had gravely hurt her husband (Japhet), and praying that he would find it in his heart to forgive her.
She acknowledged that everything her husband had said was accurate, but she also claimed that the devil had enticed her into giving in to his brother’s advances.
But she added that Samuel took full advantage of the chance. “I loved him so deeply that I was unable to let him go, which led to the situation I am in right now. I’m going through the most difficult time of my life right now.
“After abstaining from sex for the whole time we were dating, I never intended to cheat on him when we ultimately decided to be married.
“I never thought about it, but the lure of sex forced me to do it. I believe it to be the devil’s job.
According to Angela, her parents had advised her against getting an abortion under any circumstances, claiming that she would perish if she did.
When she and her husband finally got married and started having sex, she said: “I learned that he could not please me in bed. At least with me, he was cumming too quickly and didn’t seem interested in having sex.
“Before we got married, we didn’t have any sex. Actually, that is what we decided upon. But even after we started dating, he continued to avoid getting close to me.
“I always had to be the one to approach him or dress seductively. The few times we did have fun, it always ended too abruptly, leaving me unsatisfied.
In all honesty, I desired a partner who could please me. Japhet, however, was not the kind. And once I gave his brother Samuel a chance, he showed himself, and we proceeded blindly in the wrong direction. I am an individual. Blood is pumping through my veins.
“My husband did not insult me; yet, my actions profoundly angered him. Although I like my spouse and we have a decent marriage, there has never been a lot of passion between us.
“Meeting Samuel gave me the chance to have a loving relationship with fantastic sex when my spouse was away at a police training camp.
“I enjoy having sex, but my husband didn’t enjoy it frequently. And I was aware right away that my spouse would be devastated if he found out.
“I genuinely had no idea how it would finish, probably in tears, and this is what happened. However, Samuel wasn’t actually terrified when the bubbling was happening.
“Samuel continued to act as if there was no tension between us while we were with neighbors in the compound, which truly perplexed and alarmed me. However, he was quite passionate in bed, and we grew close to one another.
When asked how their relationship started, Angela responded, “It started like a joke at a gist with Samuel and other of my friends and course mates. Samuel and I struck up a talk about sexual performance that drew me to him.
“Things developed into other things, and I found myself enjoying wonderful sex with him. He was truly sexy and in his late 30s. Actually, he was far more athletic than my husband.
“I adore my hubby, but having unsatisfactory sex drove me crazy.
“I am aware that what Samuel and I were doing was improper. Samuel is a better lover than my husband, which makes me feel horrible. So I always wanted to have sex with him.
“Samuel’s ability to act was what kept me with him. Although my spouse is a gentleman and is really decent, I was pleasantly surprised by his brother’s sex obsession.
He also told you everything, therefore I’ve made the decision to tell you everything. Because of the harm to his manhood and the fact that he doesn’t need me as his wife anymore, I am aware that I have wronged him.
I’m wary of going to see him in the hospital because he could murder me. I do, however, pray for his speedy recovery. I also offer prayers for Samuel, my son’s biological father, to find peace in heaven.
“If God keeps him alive, it will be difficult for me to train him. He is not to blame. Despite my error, I kept in mind my mother’s advice not to abort any pregnancy, under any circumstances.
“I actually made a mistake by letting Samuel in. What if it was the only child I carried inside of me?
I want him to become a lawyer or a doctor, and I’ll explain to him how everything came to be.
