Instagram revives the account of EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) Instagram account (officialefcc), which Instagram System removed on October 28, 2022 as a “false positive,” has been reinstated. The EFCC is a leading Nigerian law enforcement agency tasked with ridding Nigeria of all economic and financial crimes.

On November 21, 2022, the account was reinstated as a result of an appeal by the Commission that was backed up by documentation of conformity with local rules.

The Commission thanks the public and stakeholders who expressed concern while the suspension was in effect.
