The distribution of the final batch of 98,890 Permanent Voters Cards has begun under the direction of JIgawa State Professor Muhammad Lawal Bashar, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) (PVCs).
In all local government and registration regions in the State under the commission, according to Bashar, the distribution will end on January 22, 2023.
He refuted the claim that PVCs were used by state politicians, made by Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar.
I’m not aware of PVC sales or purchases in the state, Bashar added. Even though it is happening, it will be useless.
The usage of the BVAS machine and the new voting system make it impossible for anyone to use another voter’s card to cast a ballot (PVCs).
Abubakar recently claimed that the opposition political party had registered voters in the state during a rally in the local government of Jahun.
