Mr Daniel Asuquo believes that the visit of Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate Peter Obi to Cross River will transform people’s perceptions of him.
Asuquo, the LP candidate for Cross River South senatorial seat, made the remarks while answering questions from reporters in Calabar on Tuesday.
He stated that the state was ready to accommodate the Presidential candidate and his entourage for the Wednesday rally in Calabar.
Asuquo, who had previously represented Bakassi/Akamkpa in the Green Chamber, urged all Obedient family members and others to turn out in large numbers to hear Obi’s message of optimism.
He said that Obi’s presidency will bring an end to the era of instability and economic suffering, as well as the abolition of poverty.
“That is why I am appealing to all young people to rally around Obi. It is now the turn of the youth to run our country.
“No one will pretend that he is not experiencing financial difficulties. Unless you want us to continue suffering the way we have.
“For the first time, the Calabar stadium will be packed to capacity because we expect a large turnout of Obidients,” he said. (NAN)
