Uche Onyeagocha, the Peoples Democratic Party’s senatorial candidate for Imo East senatorial district, said on Wednesday that the ongoing bloodletting in Imo state should stop.
Onyeagocha made the remarks to reporters in Owerri while condemning the beheading of Christopher Ohizu, the sole administrator of Imo State’s Ideato North local government area, by unidentified gunmen last Monday.
He attributed the insecurity to the state government’s unconcerned and complacent behavior. However, he urged the state government to assume full responsibility for the protection of the state’s people’s lives and property.
