Victor Umeh, the senator-elect for the Anambra Central Senatorial District, has pledged full support for Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party, who is expected to win the 2023 presidential election (LP).
Obi received nearly two million votes in Rivers State but was underrepresented, according to Umeh, who said that his victory in the February 25 election would not be complete without Obi regaining his mandate in court.
Remember that the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Bola Tinubu was proclaimed the winner of the presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Speaking on a radio show that our reporter was listening to, Umeh thanked the residents of the Anambra Central Senatorial District for their support and urged them not to lose hope due to the rigged presidential election, saying that Obi would win back his mandate by the grace of God.
In contrast to INEC’s declaration that Obi won in 12 states, he disclosed that Obi actually won in no less than 30 states.
More than 38 Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) had accepted the Obi election petition matter on a pro gratis basis, according to Umeh.
He remarked, “I appreciate Ndi Anambra Central’s support and I’m glad I won. I pledge to continue speaking up for our people and participating in discussions for Nigeria’s advancement. But, Peter Obi’s victory in the fraudulent election prevents me from experiencing full joy. The nation will be furious if the winner is not revealed but rather the loser, and the nation is furious in fact.
“At 4 am on Wednesday, Igwe Mbaukwu called me with the disappointing news that Tinubu had been named the election’s victor by INEC. I’m curious as to why Tinubu was pronounced the winner at such an odd hour of the night and why INEC was pressed for time when it came to distributing his Certificate of Return in the late afternoon of the day they did so.
Because the incorrect person was declared the winner, there have been no celebrations, no dancing, and no gunfire, which is apparent since INEC robbed the actual winner of his triumph.
Not what we wanted the market to buy for us was actually purchased.
“INEC told us that Obi won in 12 states and received 25% in 20, but the actual results that are available to us show that Obi received 25% in 30 states.
According to our calculations, Obi won easily in the state of Lagos and received more than 2 million votes in the state of Rivers.
“The actual outcome of one LG has been released, and practically all LGs in Rivers state operate in this manner. Obi received more than 70,000 votes in that LG while APC received 3,000, but the results were modified to give Obi 3,000 votes and Tinubu 80,000. We did not receive the votes that were assigned to us in Benue, Plateau, and I am confident that the court will make the appropriate calculations and restore our victory. When the Obis Anambra state governor election victory was fraudulently obtained in 2003, it was feasible, and it will be possible once more.
We established a situation room in Abuja on Friday, after which I visited the EU observers with Obi. 38 SANS from all over Nigeria have offered their services “for bono,” and more are joining.
“I will fully participate in this petition as I did in 2003, and God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob who sees in secret and detests injustice will reward us,” he said.
“Have courage! Be at ease! We have more than enough proof to have this victory returned to us in court.
