Donald Trump, a former president, has been charged with seven counts of improper handling of sensitive information at his Florida home.
The former US president protested his innocence, criticized Joe Biden, and disclosed he had been called to appear in court on Tuesday on Truth Social, the social media platform he founded.
Although the indictment is still under seal, he has apparently been charged with 7 criminal offenses, including obstructing the course of justice.
One of the charges against Trump, according to NBC News, falls under the Espionage Act, but the other six charges are still undefined.
He uploaded a four-minute video in which he addresses the accusations. “I am a good man. Nothing I did was wrong. Like we’ve been battling for the past seven years, I’ll fight this. We will continue to demonstrate that I am a good man. After demonstrating it for seven years, we’re back at it. It is extremely unjust, yet that is how it is.
