Hilda Baci’s 100-hour Cook-a-thon record has been beaten by Nigerian chef Damilola Adeparusi, who is based in Ekiti.

On Tuesday, the chef celebrated her achievement by posting the new record on her Instagram page.

According to sources, the chef’s 120-hour cook-a-thon started on June 9 of 2023.

She apparently finished 15 of the 120 hours allotted for the cooking, at which point she became the focus of a viral video.

While some online users criticized her for trying to top Hilda’s “yet to be confirmed” Guinness World Record effort, others praised her for having confidence in herself.

that Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, the first lady of Ekiti State, posted on social media in support of the chef’s bid to break the record for the longest cooking session with a target of 120 hours.

Dr. Ayo Arojo, a Nigerian physician, was also drawn to Chef Dammy. He gave him N500,000 as well as a two-week cooking trip of the US.

via his Facebook page, Chef Dammy, Arojo, announced his offerings, which further boosted support for the Ekiti Chef writing.

“Chef Dammy has been granted permission to go on a two-week cooking tour in America. I’m eagerly for her to begin the procedure!

“Let’s support her even more.”

Speaking about the importance of media training, Emetu urged young people and media professionals to take advantage of social media to help the state thrive.

He praised Bishop Sunday Onuoha and Vision Africa for organizing the program and emphasized how it will improve the skills of state media professionals.
