The Nigeria High Commission in the United Kingdom has criticised the recent media circulation of films, images, and tales from an event that occurred prior to December 2019, calling it as propaganda aimed at the Embassy’s and Nigeria’s image.

The Mission issued a statement on Tuesday imploring the public to reject such recordings, images, and stories from the past.

“The Nigeria High Commission’s attention has been drawn to the existence of various propaganda in the media, targeted at the image of the Mission and Nigeria,” it added. Videos, images, and accounts about incidents that occurred prior to December 2019 are being disseminated as current happenings.”

“Currently, the Nigeria High Commission in London enjoys peace, tranquillity, and harmony.” We also benefit from unparalleled collaboration from the Nigerian Diasporan Community in the United Kingdom, notably in terms of consular services and bilateral connections.””We are also committed to delivering efficient service to both Nigerian residents in the UK and Nigerian visitors to the UK, diligently and relentlessly,” the statement said.
