Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the founder and general overseer of Salvation Ministries, has provided an explanation for why he is unable to pay a tithe of 10%.
On Sunday, June 25, while speaking to his congregation in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, the priest referred to the practice of not paying tithing as a sort of grumbling and said that individuals who do so experience a very difficult quality of life.
He claimed, “In fact, these days, my PA is there; I don’t even pay ten. For every dollar I receive, I pay far more than 10. You are struggling to tithe that much, whereas I tithe more than 10 percent.
I won’t tell you the exact proportion of my tithe because I am at a higher level than that; it is not 15%. I won’t disclose how much I tithe. I will be fl%g by God if I pay 10%. What do I tithe ten percent of my income for? You pay 10%, which is the suggested amount; nonetheless, I am on another level.
