Today, July 12, 2023, three bandits were neutralized by troops from 3 Division of the Nigerian Army who were sent to end the problem in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State. While responding to a distress call in the general vicinity of Mangu, the troops valiantly fought through an ambush set up by the bandits and destroyed the outlaws. The troops found three AK-47 rifles, 14 7.62 mm special ammunition, one motorcycle, and a Constabulary Police Identity card after escaping the attack.
Bandits who managed to flee from the firefight with bullet wounds are currently being pursued by troops.
