Tunji Wusu –

When they were unable to see the president, three members of the Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN), who had driven from Lagos to Abuja in support of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, sobbed.

The tricyclists, Onanuga Babatunde, Akintade Temitope, and Ahmed Bolaji, set out from Lagos on Monday, July 3, and after traveling for 17 hours, they arrived in Abuja on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

Babatunde, the chairman of TOAN’s Ajah branch, expressed regret that they had spent 10 days in Abuja without seeing the President or any of his advisors in an interview with Newsmen on Tuesday.

He said that in addition to commemorating President Tinubu’s successful inauguration, the trip was also intended to observe his 38th day in office on July 4, 2023.

After spending more than N100,000 to fuel their two tricycles, he claimed they were stranded and unable to get back to Lagos, according to SaharaReporters.
