On Wednesday, the House of Representatives approved President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of the Service Chiefs.
This came when the ad hoc committee that screened the top military officers adopted a report.
Babajimi Benson, the ad hoc committee’s chairman, then presented the report, which was accepted right away.
Major General Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Abiodun Lagbaja, Chief of Army Staff, Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, Chief of Naval Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Abubakar, and Chief of Air Staff were confirmed in the Committee of the Whole on Wednesday.
The governors of Gombe State, Inuwa Yahya, Zamfara, Dauda Lawan, Kwara, Abdulrahman Abdulrazak Abia, Dr. Alex Otti, Chundung, and Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, are also in attendance.
Others are Senators Bala Mohammed from Bauchi, Uba Sani from Kaduna State, Sheriff Obrevwori from Delta, Nasir Idris Anambra from Kebbi, Prof. Charles Soludo from Edo, Godwin Obaseki from Yobe, Mai Mala Bunu from Jigawa State, and Duoye Diri from Bayelsa.
Others are Caleb Mutfwang, Benue, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, Akwa Ibom, Umo Eno, Cross River, Prince Bassey Otu, acting governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Dapo Abiodun, Sokoto State, Ahmad Aliu, Plateau state, and Senator Hope Uzodimma.
