Iyabo, a woman who has only been known as Iyabo, allegedly returned from an all-night party before collapsing and dying.
She reportedly passed out while trying to take a bath in her compound in Sapele, Delta State’s Sapele Local Government Area.
According to rumors, Iyabo’s mother runs a well-known Amala and Ewedu food shop on Larboard Road in Sapele.
After the party, she reportedly woke up on Monday looking well and strong, but as she went to the restroom to freshen up, she reportedly suddenly passed away.
Iyabo allegedly partied all night on Sunday but then went home sober, which led to speculation about what might have caused her abrupt death, according to a source.
According to the source, the deceased had no symptoms of illness the day before.
The deceased’s mother, also known as Mama Iyabo, has expressed her sorrow over her daughter’s untimely death.
However, she claimed that because the deceased had been buried in accordance with Muslim customs, she finds comfort in Allah.
The Delta State Police Command’s officials have not yet commented on the event.
