Serie A club AC Milan announced on Thursday that it has signed Nigerian forward Samuel Chukwueze from La Liga team Villarreal to a five-year contract.
According to Italian media, the 24-year-old has signed a deal with the Rossoneri for roughly 20 million euros (22.00 million USD) plus eight million euros in add-ons.
Chukwueze made his Villarreal debut in 2018 and has since made 207 appearances across all competitions, totaling 37 goals and 31 assists. In 2021, he took home the Europa League trophy with the Spanish team.
After making his debut in 2018, he has received 28 caps and scored four goals for his nation.
In Milan, Chukwueze will don the number 21 jersey.
