THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS APPROVED A N25,000 ALLOWANCE FOR MEDICAL DOCTORS.

The Federal Government has approved the payment of a N25,000 odd allowance to medical physicians and dentists working in federal government hospitals, medical centers, and clinics.

The approval was contained in a letter titled ‘Accoutrement allowance for medical and dental doctors in hospitals, medical centers, and clinics in federal MDAs’ dated July 26, 2023.

Ekpo Nta, the commission’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, signed the letter.

“The Federal Government has approved the payment of an accoutrement allowance of twenty-five naira (N25,000.00) per quarter to Medical and Dental Doctors in Federal Public Service hospitals, medical centers, and clinics.”

The overhead budget is to be used to pay the allowance. The decision is effective as of June 1, 2023. The Commission should be contacted with any questions about this circular, the letter advises.
