LEADERS OF THE NLC AND TUC CLAIM PRESIDENT TINUBU MADE COMMITMENTS DURING THEIR MEETING.

On August 2, 2023, amid widespread demonstrations, President Bola Tinubu met with Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and Festus Osifo, President of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC).

The President promised to solve some matters that require quick attention, according to the labor leaders who left the Villa just 30 minutes after they arrived at 5:38 p.m.

They added that Labour would hold its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Thursday and that all the issues would be taken into consideration. They said they would report to their executive committees, where a decision would be made about the ongoing protest.
