Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji inaugurated 19 extra commissioners and 14 special advisors on Tuesday, giving them the instruction “to hit the ground running.”

They were exhorted by Oyebanji to be devoted to achieving the six-point agenda of his administration.

He also counseled them to uphold honesty as their guiding principle and conduct themselves with the utmost dignity and respect.

In his own words: “I want to call on you to see this position as a tremendous chance to serve our people to the best of your ability and a rare pleasure. God has favored you by calling you at this particular time. The actualization of our Six Pillars, which is our social contract with Ekitikete, is what I thus demand from everyone.

“You need to get going right away. You will therefore be expected to interact and collaborate with the already-existing platforms and individuals to make sure that you are in line with the philosophy and methods of our administration.

“In the interim, you should familiarize yourself with the platform that won us the support of the wonderful people of Ekiti State and get insight into the administration’s policies and programs. Although the task at hand is challenging, we must remain unshakable in our resolve.

Let me add that our government abhors both corruption and indiscipline to the utmost degree. You are expected to conduct yourself with the utmost decency and respect. Additionally, it is essential that you abstain from doing anything that can put the Government in a bad light. Probity and transparency should also be your watchwords. I want to emphasize how important it is to be kind and generous to others while avoiding greed and self-promotion.
