Professor Cyril Ndifon, the dean of the University of Calabar’s law school, has been the target of student protests.

They claimed that their dean had threatened and harassed the students in a sexual manner. Additionally, they claimed institutional oppression.

According to reports, Prof. Ndifon was fired from his post as dean of law in 2016 because to allegations of r+p£. On August 29, 2015, Ndifon was accused of ordering a 20-year-old 400-level student (name withheld) to his office and then sexually assaulting her there.

The dean’s position was suspended by UNICAL officials as a result of the development. He was to remain suspended until all charges against him were dropped.

He was reportedly reappointed as the Dean of the University of Calabar’s (UNICAL) law faculty in 2022, though.
