Tunji Wusu –
Ajuri Ngelale, Senior Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, has stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not scared to fire any of his newly appointed ministers or other appointments who fail to perform.
According to HeraldNG, Ajuri Ngelale mentioned this on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Monday.
Ajuri stated that President Tinubu is not scared to reprimand or dismiss anyone in order to achieve the desired objectives.
“The President has set the standards,” he stated. The matter now is one of enforcement, and the President has demonstrated, as he did as governor of Lagos State, that he is not hesitant to fire anyone.
“He is not afraid to levy swift sanctions to ensure that they achieve the results that he desires, because if this administration fails, they will not say a minister or a group of ministers failed.” They will claim that President Bola Tinubu failed, but he will not accept defeat.”
“President Tinubu basically looked at exactly what His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari has achieved and said, ‘This is what we want to do to build on all of these achievements,'” Ngelale continued.
“We’re going to effectively implement a plan within a certain amount of time based on time-based benchmarks that we’ll be able to measure a minister’s performance against when they come in.”
“Every minister coming in absolutely knows what they have to achieve within the time frame that the President has given them, and that’s something we’ve never seen before in the history of Nigerian governance.”
