As suggested by the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), President Bola Tinubu has approved the nomination of Mr. Shaakaa Chira as the substantive Auditor-General of the Federation.
According to a statement released by Ajuri Ngelale on Friday, the President authorized Chira’s appointment following a screening process by the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), which determined that he was the most qualified applicant and that he had also received the highest exam score out of all eligible candidates for the position.
He stated that in terms of carrying out his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, Nigerians have high expectations, and the President wants the incoming Auditor-General to live up to them and justify the trust placed in him.
In addition, he pointed out that the president had only carried out his duties under Section 86 of the 1999 Constitution as amended.
