The Senate has started interviewing candidates for Musa Aliyu’s nomination to head the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC).

Together with his entourage, Aliyu was led into the Senate chamber on Thursday following a motion made by Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele to suspend pertinent Senate regulations in order to allow the visitors.

Recall that on October 17, Ajuri Ngelale, the presidential spokesman, announced Aliyu and Clifford Okwudiri Oparaodu’s nominations as the Commission’s secretaries.

Following his retirement, Bolaji Owasanoye, the departing chair of the ICPC, made the appointment.
