Babatunji Wusu –
Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State, has sent condolences to his Anambra State counterpart, Governor Charles Soludo, on the death of his father, Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo, who died in the early hours of Monday after a long illness.
According to Governor Sanwo-Olu’s Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Pa Soludo, patriarch of the Soludo family of Umueze, Isuofia village, Anambra State, lived a fulfilled life.
No one hates to lose a loved one, no matter how old, according to Sanwo-Olu, who expressed sympathy to Governor Soludo and the departed family among others. She also noted that it was reason for celebration since Pa Soludo left a legacy and passed away at the ripe age of 92.
In order to perpetuate the good reputation of the late nonagenarian, he pleaded with Governor Soludo, the deceased’s family, friends, and associates, as well as the indigenous people of Umueze, the Isuofia community, and the entire people of Anambra State.
“I express my condolences to my colleague, Governor Charles Soludo, on behalf of the wonderful people of Lagos State and my lovely wife, Ibijoke, on the passing of his father, Pa. Simeon Nwankwo Soludo.
“I also extend my sincere sympathies to the people of Anambra State and the whole Soludo family on the passing of the governor’s father.
Governor Sanwo-Olu remarked, “The entire people of Umueze, the Isuofia community, and the entire people of Anambra State would be sorely missed by the elderly and wise counsel of Pa Soludo.”
Thus, he prayed to God for Pa Soludo to have eternal peace and for the family to have the strength to deal with the irreversible loss.
“May God grant eternal rest to Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo and give the family strength to cope with this irreversible loss,” the governor prayed.
