President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Guinea-Bissau to accept the nation’s invitation to the 50th anniversary of independence.

President Umaro Sissoco Embalo met the President at the Osvaldo Vieira International Airport in Bissau, the nation’s capital, on Thursday morning.

Guinea-Bissau celebrated its 50th anniversary of independence on September 24, 2023, while the government had planned full celebrations for November 16, 2023.

According to a statement published on Wednesday by the presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu is anticipated to return to Abuja on Thursday.
