All party members involved in intra-party litigation have been instructed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to promptly abandon their legal claims.
The party issued the decision following its 578th National Working Committee (NWC) meeting, which was held at the National Headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday. Debo Ologunagba, the party’s national publicity secretary, released the statement.
Ologunagba stated that the committee issued the instruction following a careful assessment of the party’s existing situation.
According to him, the decision was issued by the party’s NWC in accordance with the spirit of unity and reconciliation and the PDP’s modified 2017 Constitution.
He said, “The NWC calls on all party leaders, important stakeholders, and members to stay together and keep advancing the principles that have made the PDP known as a truly democratic party.”
The report of the Establishment Committee for the appointment of a substantive Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Institute (PDI) was also taken into consideration and accepted by the NWC, according to Ologunagba.
