Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) nominee for president in 2023, has said that some Nigerians are threatening to destroy him if he doesn’t turn a blind eye to events taking place in the country’s political arena.
But the former governor of Anambra State emphasized that he is not concerned by these threats.
He claims that if he is removed, others will pick up where he left off.]
Speaking on the Parallel Facts Twitter area on Sunday, Obi submitted the idea.
“I know the pains of being OUT when I can be IN. And people, telling me to look away or else they’d destroy me. But I am not fazed by all of those,” the LP flagbearer said.
“When they take Peter Obi away, other people will take over from where I stopped,” he added.
Nigeria’s Ethnic Division Explained by Peter Obi
In a related incident, Obi stated during the Twitter space conversation that transactional politics alone is to blame for the nation’s ethnic division.
Despite the fact that all nations are split, the LP flagbearer said, production must overtake consumption in order for people’s abilities and diligence to match available chances.
He urged the nation’s policymakers to abandon the politics of sharing and launch prosperous economies, which would enable people to trade, grow wealthy, and experience a sharp decline in conflict.
Obi clarified that he is not desperate to become president, saying that his main want is for the nation to function for all Nigerians.
