Babatunji Wusu –
All government officials’ domestic and foreign travel expenses have been cut by 60% by President Bola Tinubu.
This was revealed to State House Correspondents on Tuesday, January 9, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity.
He claims the decision, which also affects the offices of the President, Vice President, First Lady, and ministries, was issued as a cost-cutting measure on official travel.
“President Tinubu has ordered a significant reduction in all state entourages. This isn’t an inquiry. It is an instruction. There will be an impact on the president’s office and staff.
Appointees of the Vice President are impacted. Appointees of the VP are impacted. This decision will result in a 60% reduction in the cost of official travel, he stated.
